We are so fortunate to have Melissa Esplin for our teacher. We will be learning “Modern Calligraphy”using a pointed nib.
Those who are familiar with Melissa and her beautiful pointed pen calligraphy know we are in for a treat!

UCA’S FORTIETH BIRTHDAY PARTY
On September 21st, 2019, members of Utah Calligraphic Artisits gathered with friends at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the founding of our calligraphy guild. This was a celebration of art and letters and friendships. We were excited to welcome Diane Sheya our founder and first president. Forty years ago Diane could hardly imagine what this organization would become and how it would affect hundreds of members over those 40 years. The fact that it is vibrant and thriving is a testament to all those who have donated untold hours to make UCA into the fantastic organization it is today!
A BIG THANK YOU to Nancy Ostergar and her committee and everyone who helped make this event so memorable!!
I came home from the party with almost 100 photos on my camera. I cannot possibly post them all on this web page, but I will post as many as conceivable. Actually, every photo was not worthy of being posted. You will find them scrolling above after the Utah Calligraphic Artists sign and below. I hope everyone can find themselves in the photos. I tried to include all, but I am sure I missed someone. My apologies, but hope everyone will enjoy reliving the day
